In celebration of Technical and Livelihood Education (TLE) Week and the school's 79th Founding Anniversary of the school, the Junior High School (JHS) recently held a vibrant Open House in their TLE Laboratory. The event, which took place on February 16 and 20, 2024, welcomed a total of approximately 230 students from select Grade 6 classes across the locality.
Students from Mother Caterina School, San Jose Pilot Elementary School, Pag-Asa Elementary School, San Roque 1 Elementary School, and San Roque 2 Elementary School were among the eager participants in the educational extravaganza.
Under the expert guidance of Mrs. Mary Grace G. Toribio, select Grade 9 and 10 students showcased their culinary prowess by preparing a delectable array of dishes. Grade 10 students tantalized taste buds with their pasta and soup creations, while Grade 9 students delighted visitors with a Sandwich Festival.
Adding to the festive atmosphere, members of the TLE Club went above and beyond, adorning the TLE Laboratory with creative decorations and assisting in serving the mouthwatering dishes to the guests.
"The event was a tremendous success," remarked Mrs. Ephegenia N. Pagayonan, MBS , Academic Coordinator of the Junior High School. "It was heartening to see students from different schools come together to celebrate the importance of technical and livelihood education. Our Grade 9 and 10 students, under the mentorship of Mrs. Toribio, truly outdid themselves with their culinary skills. The dedication and teamwork demonstrated by all involved made this Open House a memorable experience for everyone."
As the curtains close on yet another successful event, the Junior High School looks forward to continuing to foster a spirit of innovation, collaboration, and skill development among its students through engaging activities like the TLE Week Open House.
