G12 Students Embark into a 3-Day Retreat

Grade 12 students from St. Catherine, St. Barbara, and St. Patrick (Batch 1), as well as St. Hubert, St. Teresa, and St. Roch (Batch 2), commenced on a spiritual journey to deepen their faith and self-awareness at the Benedictine Nuns of the Eucharistic King (Our Lady Mother of Divine Providence Abbey), Calapan City, Oriental Mindoro, April 22-26, 2024.

The event, held in two batches from April 22nd to 24th for Batch 1 and April 24th to 26th for Batch 2, provided a sacred space for students to pause and reflect on their journey towards self-awareness and adulthood. Led by distinguished speakers, Msgr. Carlito Dimaano for Batch 1 and Fr. Conrad Alvarez, SVD for Batch 2, the retreats also delved into profound questions about life and faith.

Both batches had deep conversations that made each students reflect on their own personal experiences, barriers, and blessings to gain an understanding of the relationship with God and the environment. The students also had confession (kumpisal) sessions where everyone got to confess and attain spiritual healing and reconciliation.

Moreover, apart from the general sessions, the retreat also had open forums per section. All students could speak their minds freely sharing their fears, worries, and even dreams in an environment of empathy.

The said retreat marked a memory within their hearts and minds, guiding them on their path towards a brighter and more fulfilling future.
