The 68th Infantry (Kaagapay) Battalion, in collaboration with the Senior High School Department of Divine Word College of San Jose, successfully conducted an Information Awareness Drive aimed at educating Grades 11 and 12 students about the dangers of the misleading philosophies propagated by Communist Terrorist Groups (CTGs).

The drive, held at Fr. McSherry Gymnasium, sought to raise awareness among the youth, a sector often targeted by CTGs for recruitment. The battalion emphasized the importance of remaining vigilant against deceptive ideologies that threaten national security and stability.

The participants were encouraged to become advocates for peace and to reject any form of violence or manipulation that undermines the government's efforts to protect and promote the well-being of all Filipinos. The event served as a platform to instill a sense of responsibility among the youth in supporting the country's peace and development initiatives.

Cpt. Ersel L. Filipinas (INF) PA of the 68th Infantry Battalion, stressed the critical role that young people play in the nation's future and reiterated the need for continuous education and engagement to safeguard them from becoming pawns in the destructive activities of CTGs.

The Divine Word College of San Jose expressed its gratitude to the battalion for their efforts in enlightening the students and empowering them to make informed decisions for the betterment of their community and the nation.

The Information Awareness Drive is part of the broader nationwide campaign to protect the youth from CTG influence, promoting peace, unity, and progress in society.
