Students from different municipalities of Occidental Mindoro are gathering at the Fr. McSherry Gymnasium in Divine Word College of San Jose for the #Illuminate2023 Occidental Mindoro Youth Summit, which is being held today, September 1, 2023. The summit aims to discuss ways to empower young people and their communities.

This event is an initiative of Ms. Ainah Baticados and Ms. Ana Mae Tividad, the Office of the Students Affairs directress. They believe that young people have the power to make a difference in the world, and they want to provide them with the tools and resources they need to succeed.

The summit features a variety of speakers and panelists, including the municipality's mayor, Atty. Rey C. Ladaga; the vice governor, Hon. Diana Apigo Tayag, CPA; repsentative of Hon. Congressman Leody F. Tarriela, Ryan Satoquia; the governor, Hon. Eduardo B. Gadiano; and the former Chief Justice, Maria Lourdes Sereno.

The #Illuminate2023 Occidental Mindoro Youth Summit is a positive step towards empowering young people in Occidental Mindoro. It is an opportunity for them to learn, grow, and make a difference.
