Senior High School Celebrates Acquaintance Party 2019

Divine Word College of San Jose - Senior High School Department held this year's Acquaintance Party last July 26, with the theme, "Let's Get Lost and Street Style" at Fr. McSherry Gymnasium. The purpose of the event was to build friendship, companionship and togetherness as one department and family.

Students were gathered outside the gymnasium at 6 o'clock in the evening. Photos were taken as the students entered the event's place, as they showcased their street style attires.

The program started with an invocation headed by Mr. Azer Gallano and Ms. Sharisse Itliong, followed by opening remarks of the SCC Moderator, Mrs. Imelda V. Rodriguez.

Intermission numbers from some selected students takes place as the program continues.

Highlight of the event was the Search for Mr. and Ms. Acquaintance Party 2019.

Ten students were given the chance to showcase their best street style attires, as they ramped with grace and confidence to represent their strand.

Announcement of winners was held after dinner.

Darling of the Press award was given to Mr. Lance Gener and Ms. Xyra Dizon.

Mr. Bruno Gundran and Ms. Mia Floresca bagged the Best in Streetwear award.

Next minor award was given to Mr. Azer Gallano and Ms. Vean Bantugan as the night's Ramp King and Queen.

The titles, Mr. and Ms. Acquaintance Party 2019 were given to Mr. Sean Andre Uy of STEM12-B and Ms. Jemmarie Gega of ABM 12 respectively.

Students were encouraged to join the department's game prepared by the SCC Officers.

The event ended with a closing remarks given by the SCC President, Mr. Chris Ranlee Amarila and a closing prayer from Ms. Klarizze Lucena, SCC Vice-President.

The remaining time was given to the students as they danced and sang with the band performance of senior high school students.

Mr. Azer Gallano and Ms. Bren Recopuerto served as the Masters of Ceremony for the whole night of celebration.

The event was overall successful due to the help and participation of all the students, SCC Officers and Bakas Club, responsible for the stage design and set-up of the place.
