The COLLEGE SEAL is the insignia of the Divine Word College of San Jose which distinguishes it from other institutions in Mindoro and the Philippines. The DWCSJ seal is depicted by the symbols contained in a circle with the words: "In the Light of the Word" below the circle.
In the circle are the cross, the mountain and an eagle. The cross is the symbol of the Catholic Faith, fallen man's most treasured gift from the Almighty God, the propagation of which the Divine Word College of San Jose holds as her divine mission. In all her undertakings, whether San Jose holds as her divine mission. In all her undertakings, whether academic, cultural or secular, she shines with the militant spirit of the Cross and the Crucified. The mountain stands for Occidental Mindoro where approximately the seed of Faith must be sown and whose youth the Divine Word College of San Jose must gather under her wings to nurture them with sound knowledge. The eagle is the symbol of St. John the Evangelist whose Gospel starts with the words: "In the beginning was the WORD..." the passage from which the Divine Word College of San Jose derives her namme. The eagle also stands for tru knowledge and wisdom the school must impart to all those who come to her fountains of learning.
