In a progressive move towards integrating technology into education, DWCSJ recently hosted a two-day Teachers' Training on Robotics. The event, held on February 27-28, aimed to equip educators with the skills and knowledge to enrich the learning experience of students through robotics.

The training was conducted by Tech Factors Phils. Inc., and led by the robotics expert Jans Nicholai Meneses. Joining forces with him was Mam Joanna Travisona, an experienced educator passionate about the intersection of technology and learning.

The Robotek training unfolded in 3 distinct sets, catering to different levels of the academic spectrum. For the elementary level, teachers delved into the intricacies of the mBot, fostering a hands-on approach to robotics education. Junior High School students in Grades 7 and 8 explored the world of Mblock and Land Raider, enhancing their understanding of programming and control mechanisms. Meanwhile, the advanced group in Grades 9 and 10 engaged in Arduino programming, expanding their coding skills to create more complex and intricate robotic systems.

The teachers were immersed in practical sessions, enabling them to gain firsthand experience in robotics education. The training emphasized not only the technical aspects of robotics but also how to incorporate these tools effectively into the curriculum. The knowledge gained by the teachers during this training is expected to translate into innovative and engaging lessons, fostering a conducive environment for learning and curiosity in the field of robotics. The success of this training reaffirms the school's dedication to staying at the forefront of educational advancements, ensuring that its students are well-prepared for the demands of the future.
