Divine Word College of San Jose

DWCSJ, a premier Catholic institution in Occidental Mindoro, advocates Mangyan education through its arm of Community Extension Services, hence strengthens initiatives in empowering communities by supporting the education and integral formation activities of the Mangyan youth coming from different communities in Mindoro, in order to become reliant leaders of their communities in the future.

As one community with the commitment to serve, DWCSJ celebrates the Indigenous Peoples' Month as CES/IP Month entitled "Agbaya" - a Gubatnon Mangyan term signifying "I am proud of my culture."

Following the theme "Pagpapayaman ng Pamanang Kultural at Katutubong Yaman Tungo sa Mas Maliwanag na Kinabukasan para sa Bagong Pilipinas," we wish to highlight that it is indeed through education of the youth that the richness and uniqueness of the Mangyan culture will be appreciated, promoted, and preserved for the next generation.
