DWCSJ Holds Light Up Blue Activity for Mental Health Year 6

The DWCSJ community recently participated in the "Light Up Blue 2025" initiative, a visual and symbolic event held in observance of Mental Health Awareness Month. The activity was organized through the collaborative efforts of the Peer Facilitator Organization (PFO), the College Student Council (CSC), and REFRAIN.

The event brought together students, faculty, and stakeholders, all of whom donned blue attire to signify unity and collective support for mental wellbeing. This synchronized display served as a public commitment to breaking the silence and reducing the social stigma often associated with mental health challenges.

Beyond the visual impact, the initiative emphasized that seeking assistance is a demonstration of personal strength rather than a sign of weakness. The organizing bodies: PFO, the Student Council, and REFRAIN, reiterated their roles as dedicated safe spaces, offering resources and support systems for those navigating mental health concerns.

The successful conclusion of the event reinforces the institution's goal of fostering a compassionate, connected, and mentally resilient campus environment.
