Approximately 1,129 students attended the face-to-face opening ceremony of the Divine Word College of San Jose (DWCSJ) academic year 2022-2023 with the theme: "SVD Educational Mission Beyond The Pandemic: Fostering Resilienc Towards Sustainability and Development", via eucharistic mass at Fr. McSherry Gymnasium, 16th of August August.
Led by Fr. Renato A. Drum, SVD, Ph.D. , President for Administration of Divine Word College of San Jose (DWCSJ) attended the mass and Fr. Thaddeus J. was with him as co-celebrants. Teaño, SVD, Vice President for Administration and School Chaplain, Fr. Felino B. Javines, Jr., SVD, DM, Vice President for Academic Affairs, Fr. Paulus Karmani, SVD, Vice President Academic Affairs, at Bro. Vincent T. Iopam, Community Extension Coordinator Officials of Divine Word College Employees Association (DWCEA) have sworn in to accept their position leading by Fr. Tampol.
The academic year opening celebration continued with a Virtual Basic Education School Orientation. Discussed by Dr. Jason S. Valera, Principal of the Basic Education Department kicks off classes using a new hybrid modality of teaching and learning called Enhanced Customized Online Learning. This sums up online and on-site classes for the first three months of the academic year. He also announced that DWCSJ plans to resume full face-to-face classes in November. Heads of each department also discussed plans and projects for this year.
