DWCSJ joins nationwide drill

Divine Word College of San Jose partook in the Nationwide Simultaneous Earthquake Drill, last February 15, 2018 at exactly 2:00 PM with a hashtag of "Bida ang May Alam".

The drill was focused on instilling precautionary measures in preparation for the possible 7.2 magnitude earthquake or the Big One that will strike Metro Manila and nearby cities and provinces once the West Valley fault moves.

Upon the sound of the siren, students, faculties, employees, parents and members of the administration performed the "duck, cover and hold", evacuated and proceeded to the school grounds for safety.

The said activity is an event yearly conducted by the NDRRMC, RDRRMC and MDRRMO San Jose and was also joined by various government agencies that showed ideal preparedness in evacuation and response during such calamities.

Evacuation of injured and wounded victims from inside of collapsed buildings was performed. After the drill, students were advised to go back to their classrooms. The employees had an evaluation with the Municipal Disaster and Risk Reduction Management Council (MDRRMC) Officials who conducted the earthquake drill.
