Divinian Senior High School families gathered for the annual Family Day celebration with the theme: "Hapag ng Pamilyang Mindoreño, nakasentro kay Kristo," September 24, 2017 at the Fr. McSherry Gymnasium.
In the mass, which served as a kick-off activity, Fr. Renato A. Tampol, SVD emphasized the importance of unity and togetherness among the siblings in the home.
Various awards were given to certain individuals and families such as: Lourdes Valeroso, 83 years old, and Ryan Alystaine Yap, 3 months old, were hailed "Oldest Participant" and "Youngest Participant," respectively; "Early Birds" were awarded to the Andrade Family; the Malaluan Family, who came from Caluya, Antique, was recognized as the family with the "Farthest Place of Origin"; and the Dimalaluan Family continued their 3-year streak of being the "Most Numbered Family."
There was also a raffle draw in which lucky individuals won prizes such as pillows, dinnerware, and appliances.
Senior High School students had the chance to showcase their dancing skills in Field Demonstrations specially prepared for said event.
This year's Family Day is the Senior High School's first celebration isolated from the Junior High School.
